Collingwood Basketball Association has Senior Domestic competitions on Sunday and Monday nights. Games are played at the Collingwood College stadium, McCutcheon Way, Collingwood.
The Winter 2022 season finishes with grand finals on Sunday August 28th 2022 (Women’s and Men’s competitions) and Monday August 29th 2022 (Men’s competitions).
The Summer 2022/23 competition is a 29-30 game season commencing September 4 and September 5 2022, including 3 grading rounds and 2 weeks of finals. There is a 4-week break over the Christmas/New Year period, and games are also not fixtured for the Easter, Anzac Day and Queens Birthday long weekends. Finals are scheduled for 4/5 June and 18/19 June, 2023. This extended season is a one-off to enable synchronisation of future seasons into a half-yearly schedule, and to better accommodate school holiday breaks.
Team registration is via the Basketball Victoria registration system (PlayHQ). Note that if your team is ongoing from the previous season(s) you will not need to pay a bond again for the next season, so please use the voucher code we have supplied to you to remove the bond fee requirement when registering your team..
When you enter your team as the team organiser, using one of the above links, you will first be asked to register or login as a user of PlayHQ (Basketball Victoria’s registration portal); there is no cost to this but you will need to provide a valid working email address.
Fees are:
- $50 team entry fee
- $150 bond – payable once only by all teams and held until the team leaves the competition.
- $70 team sheet fee per game; no door entry fee for players or spectators. We use Teampay to make it easier for team organisers.
- In addition, each player needs to separately register for an Annual Participant Licence with Basketball Victoria. This fee is $39 for adults, $25 for under 18 – payable by each player when they register to your team (if they are not already currently registered with BV; the licence lasts for 365 days and covers all competitions in Victoria).
Game start times are between 5 pm and 8.45 pm on Sundays, and 7.15 pm and 10.15 pm on Mondays.
