Size 5 basketballs for Under 12
Basjketball Victoria advises that this change is in the players’ best interest as the smaller ball helps improve shooting skills at an earlier age. The Size 5 Ball will allow Under-12 players to develop correct techniques with an appropriately sized ball before transitioning to larger basketballs in older age groups. Size 5 basketballs should be available soon from sports stores (when open) and can also be ordered online from Spalding here. The Collingwood All Stars Junior Representative Program continues to grow and achieve. People who have a love of basketball and who support our club values are encouraged to apply for Coach, Assistant Coach or Development Coach positions in our Girls and Boys teams across all VJBL age groups (U12 – U20) for the 2021/2022 Grading / Championship season. During this period there will be no beginners programs (Aussie Hoops, J League, Afternoon Mini Ball), EDJBA and VJBL, senior domestic and Big V games or trainings. There will be more details to follow in regard to resumption after lockdown. There is no access to the Collingwood College basketball stadium for the period of lockdown.
